her world ends by GingerOpal her world ends by GingerOpal
The 2nd saddest part of my novel. I haven't written it yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be a teary mess when I do. Man, I was a wreck when I wrote the #1 saddest part, holy heck! I still get all choked up when I go back to edit it.

ANYWAY...this is the first project of the semester for my Advanced Color class. A nice monochromatic piece. Next will be an analogous piece, starring Lars and Feathers, and will be MUCH more cheerful than this piece cuz, dang, this was depressing!

Also, I apologize in advance if I'm not able to keep up with your comments. I appreciate them so, so much! I wish I could hang out on DevArt all day and chat with you guys, but school is a swamp, and I'm stuck in the middle of it.

I really like the colour tones in this. c: And the secret details, their hair, her expression, and the pallor of the wounded girl.

This is stunning. When I first saw it, I thought "Oh, that's pretty and sad." But then I kept coming back for more. The color scheme is excellent and brilliantly goes along with the emotional intensity of the scene. I truly have fallen in love.

*sniffle* so sad, and so alluring!! I really want to know what the FIRST saddest part is now (and the story behind this part).

I wonder if your colour teacher is as loony as mine was.....(you know, for research purposes, so that I can affirmatively say that colour theory professors are off their rockers).

Psh, I haven't specifically told you what the saddest part is, and I'm not going to tell you, either, so nya. :nana: And who says this is Loknich, eh? IS SHE WEARING WHITE AND RED? WELL? IS SHE!?!? Nope! Therefore she can't be Loknich. Mwahaha.

Yeah, but perhaps I have yet to introduce more Azurans into the story, and they all look the same. MAYBE IF YOU ACTUALLY READ MY STUFF YOU'D GET IT, LAZY BONES!

And maybe if I actually got to finishing my story, you'd actually get to this part within the next decade or so. Don't worry. I'm lazy, too.

I have been reading it, actually! I finished a whole page the other night. Last night, however, I stayed out waaaaay too late, and I spent all of today and yesterday doing yard work, so I have an actual legitimate excuse for once. :XD:

Anyhow YOU said you were almost done with my chapter, so... so your face!

I appreciate your laziness. XD It keeps the pressure off me somewhat...

PFFFFFFFT no you don't. I was building a fence. It's a very short stretch - just over fifty feet - so I was all, OH NO PROBLEM, QUICK ONE-DAY JOB. No. No it was not. We got the posts sunk today. That was it. And my hands are covered in blisters and my dad broke his shovel and got a blister so bad it bled all over his hand.

The ground in these parts does not make for easy digging. :iconnotimpressedplz:

But, hey, the weather was nice.

Your teacher is a butt-face.

Also, on an unrelated note, please tell these giant wolf-spiders to stop crawling into my room. Eventually I am going to run out of patience and start smashing them rather than going to the trouble to trap and release them.

Oh...well then, you can keep your yardwork. I just want to play in the dirt and plant flowers. I hope your hands heal quickly. I hate blisters.

They're probably the same wolf spiders you catch and release crawling into your house over and over. They have a crush on you. YOU SHOULD CRUSH THEM BACK. LITERALLY! :mwahaha:

Ohh dear :( ... The colors here are fabulously expressive of the sorrow, as are the positions. And I love the hands.
While this does look extremely sad, I still can't wait to read your book. I'm just all the more curious!
