Traditional Art / Mixed Media / Fantasy

The 2nd saddest part of my novel. I haven't written it yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be a teary mess when I do. Man, I was a wreck when I wrote the #1 saddest part, holy heck! I still get all choked up when I go back to edit it.

ANYWAY...this is the first project of the semester for my Advanced Color class. A nice monochromatic piece. Next will be an analogous piece, starring Lars and Feathers, and will be MUCH more cheerful than this piece cuz, dang, this was depressing!

Also, I apologize in advance if I'm not able to keep up with your comments. I appreciate them so, so much! I wish I could hang out on DevArt all day and chat with you guys, but school is a swamp, and I'm stuck in the middle of it.

This is stunning. When I first saw it, I thought "Oh, that's pretty and sad." But then I kept coming back for more. The color scheme is excellent and brilliantly goes along with the emotional intensity of the scene. I truly have fallen in love.
