And the reason the texture is so coarse is that I drew this on recycled paper.

TROGLOBITE: is NOT a word I just made up.
Troglobites are subterranean creatures that have adapted to complete darkness, such as this lovely little critter [link] which inspired these characters in the first place. Haha, I used to look at this EXACT picture in a book I had as a kid whenever I felt like being scared. (Did anyone else scare themsleves when they were kids? ) It always disturbed me that it had NO EYES!!! Then as a teenager when I stumbled upon the same picture, I was like "DUDE! I need to make people like that!--but with eyes...degenerate eyes, but eyes nonetheless."

"DUDE" was a word frequently used way back in '99. Used for just about anything. And I STILL can't get it out of my vocabulary! Someday when I'm, like, 80, I still be exclaiming "DUDE!"
