In order from the first drawings to the last. I never could find a design I thought fit the character just right, and in the end was thankful when I discovered her character was not needed in the story after all so I didn't have to finalize her look. Hooray for scratching troublesome characters out of the plot! How I wish I could say that about other difficult-to-design characters mumblegrumblewhyiscreativitysofickle.
Yes. And it's so short now that it no longer exists...right along with her character. I need to draw a graveyard of all my deleted characters. Nah, that would be way too much work.
I really admire your design process. You got some wonderful variation in there, with constant character.
Wow! I love how you showed your progress through creating a character. It's so interesting to see how she looked when you started, and then how she finally ended up looking.
Thank you! I plan to post similar (and more drastic) character designing in the future, so it's good to know it's appreciated.
I can't wait to see it! Also, I finally got around to reading the snippets from your story. They're fantastic! They're even better then I imagined! I love that you're writing a novel, and like I already said I can't wait to read it! I also have a story that I'm writing and plan on getting published, but I don't have everything for it in my gallery yet. You can see what I have got though in a folder titled, "Starlit Skye Story", if you like.
Thine sketchbook is a treasure trove...
Muahahaha! Many ideas I have gotten, yes!
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I hope to post more interesting stuff from said sketchbook in the near-ish future.
I had a cat named Juniper once.
Juniper is just a great name. Since I'm not using this character I'm saving the name for a main character in a different story.
Ah yes, the eternal struggle >_< Some characters simply refuse to be designed! (Awesome sketches anyway )
Amen! I wish some of these other characters would just jump out and say they're done being designed.
Art styling distinctive, yet infinitely variable, they're all different, but they'r all clearly your work, wonderful ideas and distinctive decorations and body and facial designs. VERY impressive.
Ah, I always love to see these great work!
NICE! The character and poses are so fluid and fully realized, it was fun looking through all of these. Beautiful work
Great to see your design process. I think she came out looking lovely...but I guess it doesn't necessarily matter to the author how lovely they look when she is trying to perfectly capture a character from her mind!
I forgot how much I loved your style... all the designs are so pretty!! But happy it worked out in the end for you
Thank you so much! I guess I ought to post more often, heh.
I love seeing your different designs--the dresses especially.
That's because dresses are fun and this frustrating character was a good excuse to draw a lot of them.
Wow! That's ... wow *-*
